Here are some of the vacation photos I said were coming to my site.
These are from the summer of 2002. I chose this font for
its informal look. To see the full-sized picture, just
click on the thumbnail of it. The 2004 photos are on a different page, on this site.
I just retouched those 2002 trip photos, but this time I used software
gamma correction, to get better results. Here are the latest results I
just achieved:

The improvement in quality is especially pronounced for the Sweeny
Texas pictures (indoors).
The bottom photo, above, didn't receive gamma correction, because it
didn't need it. This web page could serve as a lesson in digital
photography. The improvement in quality with the software gamma
correction in the above photos, versus my former technique of juggling
things like brightness and contrast and saturation, speaks for itself.
The latter technique, described above, in demonstrated in the
not-so-good pictures below.
I've removed the previous redoes of these pictures, since I'd hate to have those go out into circulation rather than the better quality redoes.
I don't think these pictures look like they are of a dream vacation, but they are of one of my vacations, while house hunting in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas, in the Summer of 2002.
